bm shifter

got a 89 iroc with a bm shifter and it seems kind of hard to operate very stiff from park to drive

What kind of B&M shifter is it? My brother had a B&M slam shifter in a T/A that was difficult to get into gear but you just had to know how to use it and deal with it. Actually, the only reason he let me drive the car was because I was the only person besides him that could operate it.
