abs light

my 95 lumina has the anti-lock light on and the brake light on. i am wondering why both of these would be on. also when i push on the brake pedle there is a realay clik under the dash. i have a repair manual and was going to check the trouble codes on the computer and the plug under the dash only has to wires going to it, the one in the book has 8 or 10 wires. i know i should take it somewhere to get the abs comuter read any ideas how much that would be

Sounds like you have double problems.
Different light are used for dffrent problems. Also a steady light or flashing light is a different problem.
Red brake light also indicates a problem in regular or parking brakes.
For it check brake fluid and fluid light and operation and parking brake switches
Yellow abs light you will need a scanner to check the abs system.

Besides how much they charge check out how good they are.
or main thing is to look for a good shop.

Check around Ask around
Word of mouth.
Family friends coworkers neighbors business people and delivery people.
Mailmen and parcel delivery people get around and notice a lot of stuff.
Even a good parts house knows what shops are good and not good.
Chamber of commerce and better business bureau and city hall.
If you find a good referral to a repair shop go look them over and talk to them.
Look for a clean looking busy place with nice people running it.
Ask a few questions and ask about their qualifications and training.
Not all places have trained tech/mechanics.
If they do not find a place that does.
Even all dealers do not have all trained techs/mechanics.

Welcome to AF on your first post.
A tip on posting.
Always check the date on post and if they are old post just let the old dead post rest in peace.
On you Lumina start a new thread and give a description of what it is doing or not doing along with repair history and someone will help you.
