1999 Chevy Blazer 2dr 4.3--> If GM engineered something to fail on this beast it has or will. Repairs include w/in first 30 days of owning it: P1870, left front wheel bearing, gas cap, rad cap, idler tensioner, seat handles, and the list goes on.
i saw this on the camaro forum yesterday. what would posess someone to give the keys to a $50,000 sports car to a cocky 14 year old and think that nothing bad will happen?
that has nothing on what my neighbor did to his parents brand new 40,000 conversion van. one night after some heavy drinking he decides its ok to steal his parents van and wrap it around a phone pole, compleetly destorying it. totaled. his age? 13!!!!! granded he wasnt givent the permison to drive it like that kid in the stang, but its infinatly more gnarly cause 1) he totaled it 2) he got a dui and he was only 13!!!
i want to send his files into thesmokinggun.com, getting a dui at 13 has got to be some sort of record. he was in MIDDLE SCHOOL! even worse than that is after he totaled that car and got that dui he said every girl in school wanted him cause he was such a bad ass. the car gods got him back though, he just turned 17 and his first car is a 82 buik skylark. interestingly enough his past dui didnt affect his insurence at all cause he was so young when he got it the computer couldnt recognize it.
my brother totaled my moms ranger with the offraod pacage the first day he could legaly drive... his reward? they just gave him a 1999 saab 9-3 SE because its "safe" and they dont want my bro to kill himself cause he aint a good driver yet. the saab is so safe that it knocked 2 grand per year off his insurence from his old 87 bmw 3 series. his insurence is like 1600 per year, hes 19, and has 5 insurence points from wrecking my moms truck and just being young. we live in nj, the land of the HIGHEST insurence premiums on the land. the fact that his insurence is only 1600 per year for a car that goes 140 with turbo is a testiment to how safe a saab is.
