Ok, I have a 2003 Cavalier 4 door. No ls or sport or any of that stuff. I've done my own mods though.. put on rims, done some motor mods. Some body work. Don't feel like listing all of this stuff, lets just say it looks better than the average 03. Power locks, keyless entry, and stuff I did myself, you get the idea.
But I tried adding a system. And I know about nothing about how this works. Other than how to take the door panels off, where to put the wires, and all of that. But the actual eletric part has me drastically confused. I have two 400 watt speakers in my front doors. (6x9's, yes i did get them in there, don't ask me how it wasn't fun), and I have two 225's in the back. Then I spliced those wires and put 2 4x6's off of each wire and hid them various places in the car, like under the front seats and between the middle consule.
Everything works fine. Amazing bass and sound clarity. Then I crank the volume. And the bass just fades away as i go.
Now.. I'm decently sure it isn't because of the back wire splicing, because if I fade the volume 15 to the front, and crank it, those speakers also loose bass. We have a 02 impala in our family, and my 00 silverado. These have stock speakers, and if i crank the volume in them then the bass just keeps going up. These speakers are amazing in my cavalier.
So why does my car system suck? Do I need a bigger battery? Heavier wires? A sledge hammer?
