Clunk noise

When i am backing up in reverse and put on the brakes, i hear a loud thump. then after i put it on drive and go foward and put on the brakes it does it again. i can feel this on the brake pedal also. That is the only time i hear the noise is when i back up and put on the brakes then go foward and put on the brakes.

Re: Clunk noise

Lots of possibilities here, any work done on the brakes or front end recently?, try tightening the caliper brackets first, 60 torx.

Re: Clunk noise

I had the same noise comming from my back end. I pulled the wheels off and found it was my brake pad moving in the caliper due to a rusty pad. It was floating and would clunk the same as you described it. Make sure the calipers slide.
