2000GC 80K on it and starting to get the cloudy headlight syndrome. They aren't cracked or yellowed just needing resurfacing probably. Is there any specific compound thats better for this than the standard white fine rubbing compound used with a buffer?

Meguiar’s makes a product called PlastX for headlights, it's pretty mild stuff.
Any mild polish will work, just don't over do it with the electric buffer - low speed, light pressure.

Great, thanks a bunch. I knew some outfit used to make some sort of polish called Nuvex or Novex, maby Nova, but that was many years ago......

I used regular car wax on mine that helped some, then i used mothers aluminum whee;l polish.. that worked even better..

i tried all that and got sick of it and just bought some new ones off ebay for like 75 bucks problem solved it's been a year and they still look great

The is also a clear healdlight assembly for ZJ's, instead of that ripple/wave looking headlight.

And there is a glass version of the rippled/wave looking headlight assembly as well.
