Hi to all fellow owners (esp. UK)!ChristAlmighty 08-28-2001, 09:44 PM Hi all, Just dropped in and though I should say hi, especially as there appears to be one or two UK owners here. Even more surprising is the age group too (I'm 29 btw) LamboBoy - I love your taste in women  Hook me up if I'm ever round your way pls ;) AWdiablo - gotta love the improved build of the 6.0's ;) Jabba - I'm still undecided on your yellow wheels, but any Roadster is fine by me! Abstract - fantastic colour :sun: Very 'american' wheels too! I will be lurking around and no doubt participating in one or two discussions. In the meantime, here is a couple of pics of my Yellow Diablo SV Strosek which was at Gaydon Supercar Sunday a couple of weeks back. It's the only one in the UK as far as I know... Cheers! CA ChristAlmighty 08-28-2001, 09:45 PM And another, just after it was cleaned... Lambo_BoY 08-29-2001, 12:18 AM I like it dude!! Especailly the rounded front bump and the light!! I will hook u up with some chick, there is a few i know that is in UK... drop a line in my tread sometime, i'll put more chicks picture up!! I will either sell the roadster or do it up, havn't decide yet, SXR said they will finish the first production line in 2002 and now it next month, but not sure.... any way, keep u boys updated What do you do for living dude?? abstract 08-29-2001, 04:06 AM CA, welcome. Your Diablo is Gorgeous to say the least. It looks like a '99. What modifications come on the Strosek Diablo and how much does one of those cost? Do you have any other nice rides? Sorry about all the questions. I am just curious Porsche 08-29-2001, 11:12 AM Oooohh. Strosek Diablo, that's like an Albino Panda Bear!!!! ChristAlmighty 08-29-2001, 05:37 PM Replying in turn! Diablo_boy: Thanks for the comments on my car! The two lasses in the Double Trouble picture look just... delicious ;) As for a living, I started an IT company in my garage aged 19 with 5000 pounds saved up from my previous job. Been in business ten years now and the last decade has been a blur of working, sleeping, and er... that's it really. Diablo Strosek is the wake-up call :) Abstract: The car was not a Strosek when I brought it. All said and done the conversion cost just under 10k (GBP) but I didn't go the whole hog (I *hate* the Strosek rear). As for other nice rides, I have a Honda NSX which is simply superb - the handling and engine are sensational. Waaaaay underrated... Porsche: Yes, they are rare. That's what attracts me to them  Ferrari is too soft (effectively the next step up from a Porsche really - no offense). In London every other car is a Porsche, and every other five cars is a Ferrari. Lambo's are still very uncommon, and Strosek ones even less so. The Diablo is where it's at - the last supercar as supercars are meant to be. Where is everyone located anyway?! A meet could be in order... Think of the cool photo op! CA Porsche 08-29-2001, 11:24 PM None taken. I'd just like to know if there's a step above Lamborghini. BTW, I got to go to the UK, in Canada, every 1 in 500 Cars is a Porsche. Lambo_BoY 08-30-2001, 08:35 AM Wut you boys say that All us the Lambo owners on this site should go to a holiday together....... like a Club thing!!!....... like if we all go to US, Abstract will show us around, UK, we have Dogsbreath (Jabba), and the new ChristAlmighty!! Australia, you guys have me!! Where else?? lets see, we have 2 Yellow Roadsters 98 & 99, one 99 Alpine VT, 2000 VT6.0 and the VERY NICE Body kits of your CHRIST ALMIGHT!!! Man, i love here!! slagwater 08-30-2001, 01:40 PM In case anyone comes by Chicago..I have my Millenium Roadster here..pictures are on the way when I can get some help from somewhere to get them to the right size and pixels to post. ..slag.. ChristAlmighty 08-30-2001, 07:59 PM Porsche: Well I was exagerating a bit - but not by much trust me. Slagwater: Use 640x480 res and Jpeg compression set at about 30% compression (to retain reasonably good quality). There is a button at the bottom of the 'POST' section to attach the file. And er, why does everyone have odd nicks (Slagwater, Dogbreath...) As for a meet, well I'd be happy to show people around and wouldn't mind putting someone up for a few days or week even (better finish the house refurb quick!!) Not that there's too much to see or do in deepest central England... :) I'm always up for meeting other owners! And Lambo fans (when I get the time). I could talk Lambo 24hrs a day I think, but many of the members of the Lambo Club UK are, er, 'funny old sticks' shall we say! :D It would be nice to meet a (younger) crowd that I could relate to a bit more... CA Porsche 08-31-2001, 10:25 AM I think all of the Lambo owners here are under 35. ChristAlmighty 09-03-2001, 12:10 AM Must be a lot of young-money around to afford these cars. Actually, it's not the buying of the car, it's the constant sticker-shock every time you have ANYTHING done to it, however small. It's like - "he drives a Lambo - he can afford it..." and then the 'supplier' adds a 400% markup! *Sigh* the joys of ownership! :bloated: CA Jay! 09-03-2001, 12:13 AM Originally posted by ChristAlmighty ...As for other nice rides, I have a Honda NSX which is simply superb - the handling and engine are sensational. Waaaaay underrated...I know I'm off topic, but I'd like to hear more about the NSX... :D Maybe post it here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/f193/). Thanks. Your Diablo's freakin' beautiful, BTW. :) gang$tarr 09-03-2001, 04:58 PM I've been to London and i didn't see that many nice cars.... maybe cause it was always bad weather.... btw sweet ride! :D slagwater 09-04-2001, 05:55 PM Let me see if I can post a pic of my Millenium Roadster ...slag... slagwater 09-04-2001, 06:08 PM Here's me admiring my Roadster in my friend's driveway . ...slag... slagwater 09-04-2001, 06:18 PM A third shot of my Millenium Roadster..I think I know how to use photoshop now but am wondering why some of the other pictures I see here are bigger ? ...slag... Lambo_BoY 09-04-2001, 10:09 PM Man i am jelous... my lambo is like the worst in the forum here, Abstract's #5 of 12 Alpine Edition is mad to the top, Jabba's (Dogs breath) Roadster has the rim i want, Slagwater have the Millenuim Edition, i love that colour! CA have the mad front bumper!! AW's 6.0 is mad! NO ONE LIKES MINE!!! I even start to dislike mine!!!! BUT WAIT TILL MY BODY KIT is up... see how it goes. Lambo_BoY 09-04-2001, 10:11 PM Wut we should do is to host a party some where, and invite every lambo owner here to go there together.. with their lambo! Chris 09-07-2001, 08:31 PM LamboBoy: I envy you (everyone with a Lambo, for that matter). I heard you got yours as a present, do tell... And PUH-LEASE, could someone give me a 60's era Austin Mini Cooper. I would be oh so grateful. Anyway, the Stroesek looks good. What are your guys thoughts on the new Diablo (not much to go on, unless your in Frankfurt right now) PS: I am the smartest kid in my highschool (I'm serious, people tell me this alot), am into computers, finance, and have a huge car-desire drive. Within 20 years at the most I will be in your exclusive Lambo-owners club, hopefully 10 or 15 years. Steel 09-07-2001, 10:08 PM Well, hopefully it wont be an exclusive Lambo party, make it a general supercar party, cause you Lamborghini guys are the coolest around, and in a few years, i wanna bring THIS around the corner! http://www.ben-tullett.com/caraudio/images/jaguar-xj220-pic_2.jpg oh yeah, BTW, and this may sound like absolute blasphemy to you guys :D but, you think it might be possible to tear out...or...well not "tear out" per se, but stick a REAL engine, i.e. Lambo V12 into the Jag to replace that wimpy little ...v6?:bloated: well...why the hell put a V 6 in there when you can fit a frekin i8 in?! ChristAlmighty! you should go over to the Jag design place, and smack some of those Limeys around! I swear...how will i shag in a Jag if my equipment isnt large enough?! Porsche 09-08-2001, 09:10 AM It's actually a TT V-6, The concept had a 12 cylinder though. :) Lambo_BoY 09-08-2001, 09:33 AM it potentially pumps more than the v12 tho Guiddy 09-10-2001, 04:15 PM Hey, ChristAlmighty indeed! It is nice to see such a great car in the UK! I was at Gaydon, and saw the car! If only I knew you were an AF user then! Doh! I am more of a Jap car fan, especially with GT3 gracing the PS2 at the moment! Though I hear the Jap version has a Diablo in it! Shame we can't understand any of it! If work goes well I plan to grace the driveway with one of Modena's finest, but for sheer spectacle, you can't beat a Diablo in the UK! I see you are not far from me! What town? What do you do for work? Have to hook up at the next supercar meet, our awful weather permitting? Guiddy 09-10-2001, 04:17 PM Originally posted by Lambo_BoY it potentially pumps more than the v12 tho Yeah, but the Turbo lag is legendary! 1-2-3 oh here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!:D Lambo_BoY 09-10-2001, 07:12 PM Turbo is mad, but its not constant power lambo_VT 02-20-2003, 09:57 PM hey, Slag I must say great Millennium! Do you know what number it is? I just bought my first lambo a couple of months ago, and its fun to see I'm not the only one with a limited edition! I own #11 out of 12 MOMO 99' Roadsters and one of the 6 Rosso Vik (candy apple red) cars. Serial is#12289. I'll see if I too can dig up a pic. slagwater 02-20-2003, 10:13 PM My Roadster is #4. No problem with the help, sorry I never posted shortly after but I'm in the UK and it was past 5am and I needed to crash. :D Later!! slagwater 02-21-2003, 05:26 PM Absolutely georgous color !!
