Re: Pretty cool...

heh... Problem is I'd be having so much fun I'd forget to hit the brakes...

Not sure about the funny car though, it's on the website, but he had mentioned that one of the guys was difficult to work with and it was mostly his car or something... the jist of it was that they don't work or race on it any longer. And that last time that site was updated was like a year ago so...

He is one hell of a funny guy though. And a great teacher. I actually got TIG down the past Wednesday, couldn't figure out the puddle heat / filler road hitting the puddle thing, it all came together at once and (not to toot my own horn or anything) I was making some damned nice welds. Now I get to play around with MIG some more. The only problem is there's only 2 classes left. Dammit, I don't want this to be over, it's fun.

Re: Pretty cool...

They want to bring back old dragsters, I see that but remember why they changed them in the first place? I think I know what I'm talking about here...sort of, a very famous racer died when the dragster blew up...wait wasn't that when the engine was in front....someone help me out here.

Bring them back??? Dyno... Cheese Book... WTF are you talking about? They've been around for years. Quite a few drag racers have died because of things that happen on the track. Not too sure of the point that you're sure you now what you're talking about.... (Joking brother, but I really didn't understand that.)

Rally, yeah I told him about it. As a matter of fact, we sort of bs'd about him making the ribbed aluminum dash / door / console trim for me.
