We're off to find the problems with the driver's side power seat ... but would appreciate some advice on how to remove the plastic "door sills?" so we can lift the carpet. Don't want to break them! Any advice? Thanks.

PS - If question sounds a little non-technical, it's because I'm posing question at husband's request!

I believe they just pull straight off. There's small knives on the bottom that slide into a track.

while your under there you might as well seal the area around those clips that go thru the body - mine were all letting in water on A 2005 BLAZER . the rubbery foam gaskets dry up and wick water thru .
