cv boot replacement

Is an outer cv boot replacement a job better left to the pro's or can an amateur attempt it? Any hints

Re: cv boot replacement

I've done alot of mechanics. I've swapped a man. tranny into an auto Stanza. I've helped in swapping an SR20DET into an NX2000.

And I still have a hard time with CV joints.

Well look. If you have a garage and some time and a good hammer and you're brave, go ahead. It's just sometimes smacking the joint apart can be a pig to do. Other times it goes fine. I'm not real encouraging am I?
