Kyb Shocks And Struts
i ordered the b+g springs 1.4 front & 1.2 rear and i want new struts and shocks so i am going with the kyb gr2 but i saw on there page its says
Do Not Recommended for vehicles with over 1.5" drop
im still going to get them but what is the real risk if any... and if i should listen to them which shocks can i go with instead.

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
I hav not seen that warning on the KYB struts.
I know Vipey just lowerd and installed new KYB's and he didnt mention anything like that.
Whats the link/url , where you seen this warning?
The only thing I can think of is that too low and the struts bottom out , so it might not work right or could be a safty hazzard. Probly throw the camber way outa spec too.

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
I got the lowest drop you can get for a Grand Am with just changing out the springs (SpringTECH) and then also put the GR2's all the way around. Haven't had a single problem with the setup at all man.
Let us know how it goes for ya. I suspect that there will be absolutely no problems what-so-ever.

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
<3 the GR2's I got the Eibach pro kit lowering springs, 1.2 front 1.3 rear and I don't have any problems unless I go over gigantic holes or drainage sewer thingies at like 40 mph like a dumbass (did that once now and thought I tore the bumper off my car!)
You should be fine!

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
it was on andys auto sport, i just wanted to make sure, i cant wait to get my suspension, my car has just been handling shitty lately i want to say its the suspension i might be wrong, but its starting to go its the original stock suspension i cant believe its lasted this long, i dont drive my car rough but 5 years is quite a long time up here for suspension to last and i like to race my car around those corners, ill probably end up replacin the bearings and trailing arms to but ill wait to see what my buddy says when we put the springs on.
Thanks

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
My SE has 150k on the stock struts.
They ride like new!
Though i dont drive on rough roads fast,
or jump Rail Road tracks
It handles 100x better with the strut bars

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
Front strut bar, KYB struts, and Eibach Pro kit lowering springs = my car kicks corners' asses... except my tires suck.

I'm in need of the strut bar now. My car already feels like a go-kart so after the strut bar I'm not going to know what to do. Already got a great set of tires (Hankook Ventus HR2 = $125/pc) now I just need to put em to use.

Re: Kyb Shocks And Struts
