Awhile back, my ABS light came on, thusly my brake light turning on. I looked at my brakes and everything looked fine, and nothing felt bad while using the brakes. I also tested the parking brake and again it seemed fine.
I think there is just a sensor out or a short somewhere. So I tested all my fuses which were all fine. Does anyone know for sure why the light is on?
Sometimes it won't come on, but that is only about 5% of the time.
Any help would be appreciated so I do not have to go pay to have it checked out.

Welcome to AF simmonnd !

Sounds like a wheel speed sensor is going out.

When the lights are on get it scanned for trouble codes and see what come up on the DTC.

My GT does this every so often, it'll come on and the next time I start it its not on. Really does it when its wet.

I know its my wheel sensor cause I got the code for it.

Post the code and we'll see what we can do for you

I would defiantly agree with Xero on this one. Almost no doubt in my mind that its a wheel speed sensor. My car has come up with this code once before as well, in wet weather. Let us know if this was it....
