I am in the process of trying to reconnect the rod from the exterior handle...Does anyone have a diagram of this? Unfortunatly I am not the first to take a crack at this cars malady and don't know what is right. Is it smart to drill the rivets and move the lock/interior handle assembly. Thanks.:banghead:

If you are removing the lock to replace it, the replacement will need riveted back in place. You can use nuts/bolts, but they dont always stay tight and the lock would move or allow door to open at anytime :eek:
