Exclamation help:87 celica gt no heat!,n its almost winter

hey i have a 1987 toyota celica GT 3sfe engine 2.0L
well there is no heat it works once n a while but not super hot, and thermostat is good changed antifreeze, heater core? i dunno cause i was told these year celicas after a while , well it was said the wires going to heater corroade
up and thats why? please let me know what you guys think
cause its close to winter and i need heat really bad here in n.y thanks really appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

update i took and bypassed the valve to switch to hot or cold
for 2 days now u let it sit over night start in the morning and theres heat but it will only last for 10 min then shut it off no more heat for the rest of the day anyone know what this might be?
