Check engine light

In previous posts I have asked about my warm engine- starting problems. I have been told that it could be the ICM, CPS, possibly ECM. I think it is my ICM, but anyways today I was sitting at a red light and my check engine light came on for about 10 seconds then it went off. If my car has a bad ICM or CPS would it cause the check engine light to come on? I just wanted to know because on Monday I'm taking it in to the shop to have it checked out and I wanna let my mechanic know. Thanks.

Re: Check engine light

Normally on pre obd11 cars, they will not set a code.
