Cherry Bomb

Has anyone heard anything about cherry bomb's cat-back system for the 3.8L firebirds? I know cherry bomb is on their way back so maybe there arent many out there yet, but it seems like with a name like cherry bomb it would be a pretty decent set-up. Just looking for personal experience or comments. thanks

DJ

Re: Cherry Bomb

I havn't heard anything about them having an exhaust system, but i've heard 3.8 Firebird with cherry bombs and it sounds pretty good.

Re: Cherry Bomb

Cherry Bomb mufflers are typically glass-pack style units, which tend to blow out reather quickly and lose thier "effectiveness" as a muffler. Then they really start to sound like crap. If Cherry Bomb is making multi-chamber style mufflers, then they might be allright. I'd probably stick with a more "known-for-quality" brand like Flowmaster, Borla, Walker, Flowtech, etc. Remember that usually, you get what you pay for.

Cherry bombs are solid steel, and when you look straight down them they sort of have a rifle effect and they are all metal inside and out. They dont blow out like glass-packs do. Ive had my bombs for several years and they sound the same, even after i have crunched them against the ground countless times.

Re: Cherry Bomb

460k&n, welcome to the forums. Lets try to not bring back old threads.
A month or so is fine but this was back in October of 06.
Thanks
