I may be joining the Celica club
Well I'm probably going to be joining the Celica club soon. I'm looking at a 2001 Celica GT with 79+k miles for $9900. I'll be trading in my Cavy for it. One thing I was wondering though is how well does the GT's engine take to mods? I know the GTS is better...especially stock, but the supply of manual tranmission cars around here seems to be limited now days and the GT is the only one I found with a manual tranny. Anyways, maybe this weekend if I end up getting the car I'll get some pics up for you guys. I appreciate the responses!

Re: I may be joining the Celica club
as far as bolt ons, the gt doesnt respond all that well, neither does the gt-s, but you can easily turbo it for 200 ish horsepower on conservative boost. really its the cars light weight and superb handling that make it good.

Re: I may be joining the Celica club
Well I ended up buying it yesterday, and I'm bout to be on my way to finish the paper work. I have to work tonight, but tomorrow I'll get some pics up of it. The thing I really like is the rims I had on my cavy will fit the Celica, so that's one less thing to buy!

lookin nice. Turboing your izzy is the only way to get any significant power gains from your motor. Check out Hass Pro Turbo or Monkey Wrench Motorsports.

Re: I may be joining the Celica club
dont buy there kits, wast of money. you could build a kit for $1000 less, get more power and have it be more reliable

Re: I may be joining the Celica club
im not sure about reliable, they have plenty of experience dyno-tuning maps that will come preloaded on the pfc if you order one with the kit ($2900)
