Just had the 2003 silverado in the shop for a po442 code: gas mileage had dropped aprox 2mi/gal; Cause was evap vent solenoid covered in tree debris,(hey its a 4x4) cleaned,solenoid ok. New sol comes with a cleanable filter. A $79 lesson
