Ferrari 288 GTOMrFerrari 10-04-2006, 01:00 PM This is the Fujimi 1/24 288 GTO. My favorite ferrari of all time. Enjoy. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/7480/img0278tu5.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/41/img0279lq2.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/586/img0280on4.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/9903/img0281rh5.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/6898/img0282yo1.jpg (http://imageshack.us) Building another one in 1/16th. http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/2491/img0296yr1.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/2341/img0295wp2.jpg (http://img406.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0295wp2.jpg) (http://img300.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0296yr1.jpg) MPWR 10-04-2006, 01:11 PM Nice build! My favorite, too (well, except maybe for the 355 GTS). This is the Enthu kit they rereleased a year or so ago? I've got one in my stash, waiting patiently until I am confident that I am well and truely worthy. :grinyes: But next time, how about posting the actual pics instead of the thumbnails? All your pics are reasonably sized- don't make us click for them. :disappoin MrFerrari 10-04-2006, 01:53 PM But next time, how about posting the actual pics instead of the thumbnails? MPWR 10-04-2006, 02:01 PM Better! I love the pic of the 1/24 with the 1/16 engine. :smokin: bigfrit 10-04-2006, 02:01 PM Awesome build! Can we get outside pictures? And PS, the A pillar is supposed to be black IIRC. I have no idea why, but it is like that. MrFerrari 10-04-2006, 02:16 PM And PS, the A pillar is supposed to be black IIRC. I have no idea why, but it is like that. I know, but I like color on the A-pillar. Just my taste. Is that A pillar made of some special material on the real car? I don't know why is black on the real car. Question to hardcore ferrari friend: On the front black bumper. Does the signal light orange section go on the outboard or inboard? I saw some on the outboard, some on the inboard. MPWR 10-04-2006, 02:35 PM I believe I've only seen the orange lights outboard- even on the handfull of US spec 288's. There were so few made I'm surprized there would be any variation, with the possible exception of a prototype or two. mel79 10-04-2006, 02:35 PM Superb job you've done! This kit really is a bit challenging but I think it catches 288GTO's looks perfectly. I see you even made the pop-up head lights work :iceslolan On the front black bumper. Does the signal light orange section go on the outboard or inboard? I saw some on the outboard, some on the inboard. The owner's manual shows the orange turning light section on the outside. -Mikko MrFerrari 10-04-2006, 03:09 PM Maybe it is up to the owner. This one has it on the inboard. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/169-2.jpg MPWR 10-04-2006, 08:55 PM I guess it wouldn't really suprise me if the turn signals could be installed backwards (or upside down). That's the sort of detail you would never notice unless you were building a model.... :grinno: auw12 10-04-2006, 10:45 PM that's also one of my favourate prancing horses!great work man and also enviable collection you've got!that's really very very nicely done! ferrari2k 10-05-2006, 02:42 AM Wow, great one, I wish I could get my handy on either the 1:24 or 1:16 Enthusiast model! robrex 10-05-2006, 03:11 AM Nice work!
