windows fog up when raining..

hello my windows can fog up when it rains, yet when i turn the defrosts it goes away.....its a 2002 z24.. is this normal and, what is causing them to fog up??

also another thing..
when I start my engine i can hear like a bearing sound in my dash where the gages are.... what can this be.. ?..Only last couple seconds..I also noticed when I park my car in my garage, this doesnt do. Could this be humidity.. ??

yes, its normal, and its caused by moisture being in the air

Re: windows fog up when raining..

Ya windows do that.. its called condensation.. moisture in the air condenses on the cool glass.

And the bearing sound in the instrument panel is normal.. i think.. my 00 cav does it too..

That is what they made the defrost button for. Defog/defrost.
But you could roll down all windows if you do not want to use the defrost.

Also a heater core leaking will make them fog up to.
If you have a sweet smell or coolant in the floor board check heater core.
