chevy 305 engine

what trans will bolt right up to a chevy 305 engine? i am asking this because i was offered this engine for my chevy 350 engine i am trying to get rid of. the only 2 trans. i have lying around are 350 universal and termec c-4

so is the 350 in need of a rebuild and the 305 is in good shape or what? if not, then i dont see why you would want to switch motors, sometimes a 350 will actually pull down just as good of mileage as a 305, and they are much more powerful even stock versus stock... they make the 305 look like nothing but a boat anchor lol...

but as for your queston... if the tranny bolted to your 350, then it will bolt to the 305 or any smallblock engine for that matter (big block and some v-6's as well if im not mistaken...). im sure that youre aware that all smallblocks are the same on the outside right? just make sure that the engine has either a flexplate for an automatic, or a flywheel for a manual tranny. also, the smallblock 400 will have a counterweighted flexplate, though it doesnt even matter to you since youre going from a 350 to a 305...
