So an SR20DET swap would be possible right? Are different mounts and other parts needed or is it a direct bolt in?

Ah newbie!

FWD? Dont you dare ever call a 240SX FWD...

RWD til I die!!!

SR20DET's are direct bolt in's you dont really need custom mounts since they can use the factory Nissan motor mounts...I am pretty sure on this but not 100%...

Your right i am pretty new to the whole Nissan scene. Ive pretty much been a honda freak for a while but damn there are sooo many civics and integras out there its gettin real old. What got me started on Nissan was the 300ZX TT but then i saw a picture of an S-15 Silvia and fell in love! So in other words i hope to buy a newer 240SX and convert it to a Silvia in some aspects.

SR20DET

well i honestly think a S15 sil80 looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better then a S14 with a S15 headlight conversion. the hatch back with the 95+ circular tail lights looks much better then the S14 tail lights. and even the S15's to be exact. however. all the S15's you've been seeing in magazines are indeed S14's with S15 head lights. but if you looks at Signal Auto's Drifter X. then you see what a perfect Sil80 is suppose to look like. that thing is freaking awesome!
