Just bought a 94 Camaro Z28. Have a stange brake problem. Everything works under hard braking but on slow gradual stops I feel what seems like a clunk, but the feel from the pedal is like it is going into an ABS stop from about 5 mph and under. (on dry pavement) Also the low trac light comes on during this. Seems to me like it could be a wheel speed sensor going bad. I haven't had much time to look into it but was wondering if anyone had similar problems with other mid 90s GM cars with ABS. Thanks.

When you turn on the ignition, watch the ABS warning lamp. It should turn on for about 3 seconds then turn off. If it flashes, count the number of flashes and monitor the pattern/frequency of flashes. On the older systems, the lamp should flash if a failure for a system sensor is detected. I'm fairly certain this applies to most GM 1994 models, but I wouldn't put money on it. It works on mine.

Does The Abs Light Illuminate?

There is only an ABS INOP light and it comes on for a few seconds then turns of like all the other lights.
