Can this electric compete with a small-block?

I was reading this article on new technologies. Technically it's not a battery that powers the motor although it works like one. The range for a small car would be up to 500 miles and cost $9 to recharge the fuel source and be recharged in a matter of minutes.

Here's the article from CNNMoney.

it isnt a battery. its technically a capacitor.

it probably could help electric vehicles replace gas vehicles in 20 years or so.

Veripossible. It would be oh so sweet if it could compete within the next few years. It's at least what the article implies.

Fuel cells have been around for a long while and they are tested and proven but it's still estimated that it takes another 15 years or so until we have the first serial production fuel cell car that comes with a competetive price.
