New Shocks - E32

I'm in the process of replacing the stock shocks on my 1993 740il with bilstein HD. Will they lower the front end any and will I see a significant difference in the ride and handling?

Re: New Shocks - E32

Same ride height, firmer ride. I did the Bilstein Toruing on my 1988 750 and then had to add a flat washer to the top of the strut rod (the threaded portion under the large center nut). It appeared as if the center rod did not have enough threads and I ran out of thread before the nut could be fully torqued. One large, flat washer for each strut rod and that solved the problem. The Touring are closer in ride to the BOGE OEM.
