Angry Front Differential Problems

91 Blazer 4x4 147k runs fine except when i put it in 4wd the front diff engages but it pulls to the left really bad i hear people talkin about a switch on top of the transfer case with 3 vacuum lines or something like that i dont think it is that switch because it seem like a mechanical part in side is broken the faster i go the louder the whining sound gets

HELP!!!!!!!!

Re: Front Differential Problems

the whining and pulling to the left seems consistent with the vacuum switch on the passenger side axle....or the very similar switch on top of the transaxle..I believe they both work to engage the left front axle (not sure about your year). ....when the one on my '98 was stuck (the one on top of the transaxle) I would here whining and a slight pull to the left...very easily pulled the switch and saw that the ball was stuck in...thereby keeping the left front axle partially engaged...I think it was 16 bucks.
