Hey im posting this Q. for my friend Rob. He has a 2000 1.8T GTI and by mistake he disconected the side airbag with the ign. on. Now he has an SRS light that will not go out. Do any of you guys know of a way to RESET the SRS comp. with out taking it to the dealer and pay $50. Thanks in advance. stefan525

You could allways buy a $200 SRI & SRS Reset Tool

Well I think that his point is that he does not want to spend the money for something that he might be able to do himself.

Well, If you/he know someone with a VAG-COM, you might be able to reset it.
