Question 93 k1500 wiper problem

Wipers slowly quit working. checked fuse, replaced circuit board, wired brushed terminal connections wipers still don't work. Any ideas? How easy is it to change wiper motor? Is it as simple as unbolting old and replacing with new?

Theres a forums for trucks, yours would be C&K its like 2 more underneath this forum.I think you would get more answers there.

if they "slowly" died im pretty sure your wiper motor went. Buy a new one and R&R.

Re: 93 k1500 wiper problem

The wiper motor runs on electricity use a volt meter or 12vtest light and determine if you have electricity to the motor. You can check the ground with an ohm meter. Most DC Motors will start if you tap them with a hammer. I have tested numerous starters and fan motors this way. I assume wipers would also work. Don't hit it hard enough to bend anything. This is only to check a bad motor not for daily operation. Normally you have to remove the wiper blade drive and the connections for the unit. Also the cover by the windshield.
