jumping OBD-II link...

Can I do the paper-clip trick to do a diagnostic on my 2000 Venture, the same way that worked on the 80's and 90's Chevrolet vehicles?

Is there a page here with the procedure?

Thanks!

I dont thkink you can do the jump with OBDII

but autozone does free scans of your car.

capriceowns is being kind. He KNOWS you cannot retrieve error codes with a simple diagnostic request line ground or jumper. However, in addition to AutoZone and probably other places offering free code scans, you can find OBD-II scanners for $40-50. They will not provide full diagnostic data, but will display stored error codes and turn off the MIL.
