Re: annoying clunk

I assume that the clunk happens while turning by the parts you've already checked? Check the rack and pinion mounts/bushings, rack input shaft bearing, lower steering column shaft or bearing and the cradle/subframe to body mounts.

Re: annoying clunk

yea, at first i thought it was the rack, but the only prob with that is when you put your ear up to the wheel to listen, the sound is comping directly from the center of the wheel, and the only time you can physically feel a vibration is when you put your hand on the rim itself. its very weird.

Re: annoying clunk

def. sounds like a bearing shot just because it doesnt have side to side or up and down play doesn't mean its not bad but i would also check out the strut mounts
