Question

Good question. If the Yota is redesigned..it wont be drastic at all. I'll look around and find out if it is.

I think I can now answer my own question.Autoweek reports that the Tacoma will be redesigned for the 2004 model year.http://autoweek.com/cat_content.mv?p...3149230#toyota
The question now is when will the 04's come out?Six months from now or later?I wonder if they will debut them at the major auto shows in January?Anybody?

So I guess Toyota has no plans of putting the 4.7L V8 in the Tacoma as they did with the new 4Runner. Does anyone know if Toyota does plan on putting the V8 in there?

i wouldnt see the point in putting the V8 in the tacoma, considering you can get the Tundra in V8. The price for a V8 Tacoma would be too much towards the Tundra to be even worth it.

Well, I ALMOST traded in my Tacoma for a new 4 Runner 2 weeks ago and was told by the sales manager that the new 4 Runner platform will be utilized in the next Tacoma. I guess that's chassis and drivetrain...

Question

Guys,

I don't know but it seems that as fall is approaching (and yet there is not a clue about 2004) and the fact that tacoma will begin being assembled in Mexico for 2005, is leading me to believe that the redesign will be in 2005 not 2004.
