Door Chimes

I have owned my jetta for a few months now but i do not like the fact that i cannot sit in it to listen to music and have the driver's door open without a chime that does not stop as long as the driver's door is open. Is the chime located as a fuse and how can i remove this. I know some of yas that tricked out VW's must have wanted this to be done away with.....

In all the Jettas I've owned, I've always had the dealer pop this fuse out, the day I drove it off the lot.

I could no more live with that "noise" than I could jump off a bridge.

Now I can only assume (and hope) that todays Jettas come with that same fuse!

Either way I''d turn it off....no matter how!

I figured it out, there is are a bunch of relays right next to the panel with all the fuses, the longest one was it. It looked like it had a speaker on the end of it, but upon removing it, no more annoying door chime!! :frog:
