Hello!
Getting ready to do brake job on 93 325is front and rear.
Questions:
1) is replacing the rotors ALWAYS required?
2) is there a brake sensor on EACH wheel, front and rear?
3) brake pads sold in "sets", do I need a "set" for each wheel
or does a "set" provide for both wheels up front and a "set"
for rear wheels. Part suppliers show 4 pads in a "set" so I
am assuming two pads per wheel, so a "set" for front, and a
"set" for rear. Is this correct?

THANKS for all replies!

no replacing the rotors isnt always required but if there is enough material left on the rotor and it isnt grinded away then have them machined to ensure a perfect mating surface between the pad and rotor.. otherwise if there isnt enough material left then replace the rotor...

yes there should be a sensor on each wheel..

youll need a set of front pads and a set of rear pads , front set will include both sides as will the rear set ...

you also want to make sure to take the slides the caliper slides on and lube them up with caliber lube to ensure they dont get froze causing premature pad wear ...

Brake sensoirws are on left front and right rear brake pads and always a good idea to replace them when yu do the brake job (they are cheap).
