Question Steering Wheel Vibrating!

Hello. I have a 1990 Geo Prizm. I just replaced all four struts yesterday. When I did the fronts, I noticed that the sidewalls on both tires are pretty worn and the belts are showing on the inside. I am going to replace those this week. I saw that the right cv axle boot is torn in half, but no clicking yet. About a week ago, I noticed that the steering wheel started vibrating really bad from 50 MPH to 85 MPH (as high as it reads). I figured it would go away after I did the struts. The struts were so bad that there was no gas/oil in them. I had also replaced the right front bearing plate since the strut had pulled through it. Any chance that the new tires will help it, or could it be the cv axle? Thanks!

Re: Steering Wheel Vibrating!

Did you check the entire suspension to make sure everything's good to go, i.e. sway bar end links? Did you check the condition of the wheel bearings? If it's all good to go, then tires.

Re: Steering Wheel Vibrating!

Everything is good other than the cv axle boot and tires. I am hoping that new tires will correct it. Thanks.
