Re: head gasket???!!!please help
[quote=fastgassuprarider]look....i went to take my car to get smogged... failed <1986.5> cause was of the timing. i changed timing.tdc. 10. then i took it for a drive and noticed it was overheating, stopped then pulled my radiator cap off in a 20 minute time frame then it bursted <----dumbass. water went all over the place. keep in mind that i had just put a new radiator in, i also dont have a working thermostat but somehow it still works??? i also have a vacuum line that isnt connected and i think its right by the egr valve, but i couldnt find anything that it could connect to. ok so back to the story, i waited an hour poured water in the radiator and then started the car, engine starts shaking, but no white smoke....went back to my house and changed the time again higher around 15ish 20ish and it ran perfectly fine but my radiator is still now releasin pressure out. after a 20minute drive i released the radiator cap valve that releases pressure and nasty water was coming out of the reservoir. now is this all because maby my MAS got a little wet? or is my head gasket toast? the engine was a rebuilt engine and new tranny, i dont no if it has to do with the hoses, mas, head gasket. and if it is the head, is it extremely difficult to change? is there a diagram u can show me on how to and what to pull off? thank you soo much for reading hopefully u have an answer for me i really need help.
