My Denali only has 70K and I had to replace a head gasket already and now I think the rod is going. Is this common. Can I get to the rod bearings through the oil pan. What can I do.

Usually it is the intake gasket that goes bad on those and lets coolant into the oil...if let go long enough, it will take out the bearings. Head gasket will do the same thing, but it is not nearly as common. I would pull the motor out to do it...doesn't take too long to pull it.

Not easy to do inside. Should I replace all the bearings?
