direction to turn crankshaft manuallyscottd50 08-16-2006, 10:05 AM Kmaniac, Great advice and especially on using a fresh reservoir for the gasoline before using the gas tank. It was mentioned to me at the autoshop to turn the crankshaft like I was taking off a nut. That would be counterclockwise - right? Or does it matter which direction it is turned manually? KManiac 08-16-2006, 07:57 PM It really doesn't matter which way you turn it when using a wrench. The typical rotation during operation is clockwise when looking at the crankshaft bolt. You can verify this looking a the timing mark scale. The mark will travel from BTC to ATC during normal operation. scottd50 08-17-2006, 07:54 AM Thanks Kmaniac, It will hopefully start this Saturday. I'll post to let you know if it does. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
