Body Lift for 2001 Sonoma

I would like to put a 1" or 2" lift on my Sonoma. I can't seem to find a kit anywhere. Is is possible that they may not even make one for this truck?

Thanks

Re: Body Lift for 2001 Sonoma

Thanks for reply.

Before I go ahead and do this, has anyone put a body lift on a sonoma and what are your thoughts on it? I'm concerned if I should even be doing this and will it be a problem down the road. Any input would be great.

Re: Body Lift for 2001 Sonoma

I have a body lift in my 4Dr Blazer, Same Chasie as the Sonoma, It was quite easy actually.

just remember this, Slack off all the body bolts, seperate the 2 halfs of the rad fan shroud, unbolt the harness on the middle of the firewall BEFORE you start jacking the body. Only other 2 things are the bumpers front and rear remove em and worry about gettin em back on later, The brackets come for the front.

After you have all the bolts loose, Take all the bolts out of one side (Left of right) jack the body insert the lift and the bolts, finger tighten the bolts, let go the oppisite side jack and insert the blocks, Finger tighten.

In your case you will need to make VERY careful attention to make sure the box is in line with the cab. and the body lines match. Then remove the bolts one at a time and apply locktite and torque., BE PREPARED to modify the rear bumber mounts to get the back bumper to match back up. Its not fun but can be done.

If you need any other help pm me.
