Unhappy grinding gears? :( need help asap

hey,
tonight i went for a drive and we were going roughly 95 mph and the car made a sound that sounded like wind rushing under the hood. We eased off everything was fine and then we kept going. We came to a red light and i went to downshift to 2nd and it grinded going in. Then first grinded too. I thought maybe the clutch is heated or something so i let it sit for roughly an hour and now it wont let me in the gears at all with the car on it just keeps grinding. Is there a simple fix for this? I dont understand how 1st and 2nd got screwed up from driving in fifth. I have to turn my car off at the light and put it in first and then skip second. Please...Any ideas?
