Post No Heat in 2002 4x4 / 4.6 liter

Hi all. This is our F-150 4x4. I cannot get heat from heater. A/C works great. You can hear the compressor kick on. When you use the "temp dial", it does not get warm, let alone any heat. I have tried all the controls and it blows fine to the floor, to the vents, and to the defrost.

It just stopped working? We pulled off the control panel and the wires are connected fine. When the blower is on high, we have turned it from cold to hot and there is no reduction in the air flow, like there normally would be (slight). Could the Blend door Actuator not be opening? We checked the fuse, it is fine. We checked the hoses to the firewall, they are nice and warm. Coolant level and thermostat are ok. Truck is not overheating.

Where is this "Blend Door Actuator"?

PS - This is my husbands truck......I am posting for him as he is at wits end trying to figure where his "heat" took a vacation to.

Any suggestions, would be much appreciated!!

Sounds like an actuator to me. Could also be the switch itself. Crawl under the dash and watch for movement of actuators when turning from hot to cold.
