For the last couple years ours has bang shifted from 1st to 2nd in the morning cold, sometimes when warm. No slippage when pulling even a heavy trailer ever.
This usually only happens when its not up to temp but seems also to do it sometimes takign a tight corner like rounding a city street accelerating. I did change the oil and filter to ATF4 but did get the autozone brand rated as such. Nothing changed. Its been this way a couple years from 60K to its current 90K, no better no worse. How do you adjust the TV cable anyways? I see from searches that this is often the problem. I notice that the shift cable is a tad slack too as while its in 2wd the indicator often says its still in 4 Fulltime. Any great insites or links on this?-
