Lift parts for 98 z71

Does anyone have any 78-79 ford front axles, d60 or d44 that are willing to sell for straight axle conversion? wouldnt mind a good ifs lift for a good deal either. either that or does anyone know where to buy good lifts for a discount?

Your asking for Ford parts in a Chevy forum? Not to sound like a smart ass, but how about trying the Ford forum? You probally get better results.

you obviously dont know that you need early model ford front axles to put in a ifs chevy for a straight axle conversion. chevy straight axles only work if you change out transfer case along with axles... too much hassle just go with ford axles, direct swap for ifs.

Re: Lift parts for 98 z71

So you don't need a transfercase? How do you get the front axle to engage? Or you are saying the existing one (transfercase) is compatable with a ford axle but not an early model chevy straight axle? Do you still need to get the ring and pinion ratio's to match? I have a 1979 Chevy 3/4 4 x 4 complete drive train, 400 THM, 454 cid, 14 bolt. But I guess you could care less, you need a ford axle. I had a 98 Z71, best looking truck I ever owed, certainly not the most dependable.
