Alero Headlight Adjuster Availability?pagris 08-11-2006, 03:02 PM Members: My '02 Alero has a broken headlight adjuster (elevation) on the right side. My local GM dealership informs me that these aren't available separately from GM - one has to purchase the entire headlight assembly in order to get the plastic adjuster which bayonets onto the back of the housing. Does anyone know of a source for just the adjuster? - I haven't been able to find one on the web. Thanks. BNaylor 08-11-2006, 03:19 PM Welcome to AF. The dealer is correct. You'll need the whole headlamp assembly. Which side is it, left (drivers) or right? There are aftermarket headlights available at a lower cost the GM OEM. pagris 08-11-2006, 03:43 PM Thanks, bnaylor, for the info - I was considering visiting a local salvage yard and seeing if I could find one, as it is only the plastic adjustment screw on the rear of the assembly that is broken - the internal adjustment parts are okay. Hate to spend $100 (ebay) to $200+ for a whole light assembly just because of a broken plastic screw on the adjuster :frown: !!! Maybe they have a headlight assembly damaged sitting on a wrecked Alero and the part you need is good. Otherwise, they may just sell the headlight only but at a reduced cost. The headlamp is the same from 1999 - 2004. Good luck. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
