Been lurking this forum for quite awhile sitting back with my 1999 Xterra SE. Finally ran into some cash, upgraded to a 2002 Xterra SE SC 4x4. Woot!

Gotta say, the supercharger is nice.

Now the fun part... mods. :D

Any recommended performance mods for the SC model? All I noticed from lurking the forums was multiple mentions of the KN Aircharger.

Compared to the non-SC engines, it's amazing. So much more power when passing, going up hills, etc.

Uh, you had a 1999 Xterra? WOW!

Congrats on the '02!

Actually, there were a handful of 1999 model year Xterras, at least according to the VIN, but they were pre-production units. I believe Steve Fisk has seen or driven one back in the day.

It was a "demo car" at the dealership. Driven by some celebrity or something. *shrug*

Looks JUST LIKE the 2000's in features, etc.

My bro had a '99. It was 2wd though so he dumped it for an Avalanche 4X4:rolleyes:

Look at exhaust mods and air intake mods (xterraparts.com). Rick and Chuck would be good people to ask.

First performance mod for me is always tires.

What mods you get depends on what you're going to do with the truck. Are you going to offroad it?

Util, where are you located?

Omaha, NE

Lots of hills and whatnot but most offroading consists of dirt, mud, grass, and of course... snow/ice.

It's also my "commuter car" for the time being til I buy something cheap that gets good gas mileage :D

Look at exhaust mods and air intake mods (xterraparts.com).

Will do. :)

Are you going to offroad it?

Refer to above statement. Nothing extreme because quite frankly, there isn't anything extreme around here. Lots of good 'ol mud driving though which is always fun. :bandit:

If you travel South to Randolph, KS there is a great ORV park there. You can see some pics here: http://hxoc.net/gallery/album42

Utildayael,
We'll have to get together some time. I'm from Omaha as well. Look @ gpxo.com they are doing a run in the Black Hills soon. I haven't been out with them yet but I'd like to.

Hey cool, definately will have to get together and go offroading [as much as one can in Nebraska *g*]

Will have to check out KS too.

Look's like fun! (http://hxoc.net/gallery/album42/Steve_Extraction)

Maybe a bit too much fun? :)
