Unhappy 2001 Jimmy loud Noise Problem...

My Jimmy has been suffering from a lot of road noise lately. It has slowly gotten louder the past few weeks. At first I thought it might be the tires but now i'm thinking front hubs. There is no thumping, clanking or vibrations. Just lots of road noise as from bad tires. When I get up to about 70mph the noise goes away. I do not believe its the tires as they are fairly new and look alright. thanks for any suggestions..

Exclamation Re: 2001 Jimmy loud Noise Problem...

just paid 600 buck usd for this same problem, thanks to the heat in south florida, both front hubs went out at 90,000 mi's. 2001, unless 4wd, has different hubs than the spindle type. i got a discount cause my bro-in-law put it on his dealership account. the regular shop price was $340 each side for the bearing and $110 each side for labor. good luck.
