How to set car alarm on 93 g20
Hi I have a 1993 g20. I was wondering how to turn the alarm on with out a remote. For some reason evertime I take it back from the mechanic and open the door the alarm goes off like he knows how to set it but I never ask him how he did it. I have know clue how to set it. I know this is probably in the manual but I don't have one. Can anyone help?

i dont know if it changes from the 93 to the 93.5, but i have a 93 and to set the alarm all you have to do is lock the doors with the key, the security light should go solid and disapeer after 30-40 seconds. Then it is armed. To turn the alarm off you just have to unlock the driver door from the outside. This is for a car with no remote keyless entry.

on the 93 like mine it has automatic seatbealts and no airbags. On the 93.5 it has normal seatbealts and airbags. I hate my automatic seatbelts and i wish i would have known about this before i bought my car.

Like rdnrj said: The 1993 have auto seatbelts, a different front grille, and no airbags... The 1993.5 incorporated a new front grille, traditional shoulder belts, and airbags.
I also have the 1993 with the auto seatbelts (which suck) but to arm it, you simply lock the doors and walk away. To disarm it, you unlock the doors. But the only way I've found to set the alarm off is to leave the windows open, lock the doors, come back about a min later, reach through the window to unlock it, and open the door... I kinda found this out at a gas station... :o
Question for anyone else with this "non-remote" alarm then: Is that the only way to set this alarm off???

Thanks for clearing the 93 info up. I have a 93.5 and I guess I'm lucky I do, heh. Anyway, I have found out that the alarm seems to work if the alarm is set and the front door is unlocked! I have no clue why but that does me no good heh. Good there be a short circuit or what?

I bet you have a speshal front door like I do - my passenger front door has to be locked from the outside by key - otherwise it will look locked but still open, and then the alarm goes off because the car thinks it's locked, but it's not.
Don't call the poor thing an Infinity, they make speakers. You drive an Infiniti.
Another difference between '93 and '93.5 is that they changed the side things from black plastic to body-color.

you know what else is sad about the car alarm, it only goes off if you try and get in the driver door. You can unlock the doors with the windows down, get in the back two doors and drive off and it will never know. It also lets you open the trunk without going off. What good does that do?
