Well, since everyone seems to be 'detailing' their cars, I decided to give my car a good wash and its 1st wax ever done by me. I guess the whole process took me about 2.5 hrs to do, but it's worth it. idk if I was smart enough to do it today, since after I washed it, I turned on the tv to learn a thunderstorm is suppost to be here soon. anyways here are pics. Hope your proud of what u started Clawhammer!

Cleanliness is next to Godliness :bigthumb:

You should have photochopped another Sentra next to yours to get the true clawhammer effect :p

If its gonna rain, why dont you just park int the garage we see in the background???

edit: I never knew you were from WI... note the sig and thank Danielle for that gem of wisdom

Nice car...does that gen Sentra SE have the same 2.0 as the 91-93 SE-R(the SR20DE)...if I got an import for my next car I want something with the SR20 motor.

well long story short, when i bought it the rear tail light was busted. i really diddnt mind that. bought these off ebay for about 50 bucks. id say they were worth it.

Accord, yes I am in Wi, MKE to be exact. I can't park in the garage as my cousin is in Jamaica, and we are parkin his in the garage. I am the last to be home tonite, so the 06 corrolla is in there, and my car with the 04 sienna is outside right now. i think a good rinse in the morning will be great to keep my finish. Ill dry with the Absorber again. I will be detailing his car soon, as it really really needs a wash for his birthday. you'll see the shine more has he has a dark green teg.

Camaro(i speelled it right this time matty) it does have the sr20de in it, but its a different version than the 91-93. Its said to be the most 'tamed' version of the sr20 and has roller cams for more tq. It loses some of its top end b/c of that though as it redlines at 7k. I can't hate the roller cams seeing that it helps a bit with gas milage and parts for this particular engine are dirt cheap. I can get Cams, Gears, valves and springs for 1g w/o shipping. I also have a cai, but thats about it.

I do have one problem though with my whole detailing thing...from the door guards (idk what they are called) in pic attached u can see it best, the black rubber things on the door, im planning on taking them off as im always pushing them back on. they leave a really like tar or something residue. idk what to use to get rid of it. Any ideas? it seems to be on my front bumper from taking off the front lisence plate thingy as well.

minding that, i guess idk what else i should use on the car. I used Turtle Orange Wax (4.56 a gal), Turtle Wax (5.16), The Absorber, AutoZone Microfiber Cloth, Meguires PlastiX, and Meguire's Tire Shine. I think I need to do the 3 step treatment from meguires next time, maybe next month if I'm in the mood for it. Btw, i dont think this Ad describes you ClawHammer

You need claybar and lubricant to get that tar-ish stuff off.

slideways...

clay bars do work well, but you have to be patient with them. and depending on how much, one bar sometimes wont last the whole car.

btw chiquae you should take that pinstripe off. i hate pinstriping on cars.

how did i not know you were in wisconsin. thats too bad. we should meet at rock falls some time.

I think citrus based anti-adhesive and a razor should do the trick. Then buff out any scratching that may appear

My friend took the pinstripe off his integra with just his fingernail, it was a hillarious 2 hours of grunting and cursing! :iceslolan

Let the car sit outside for a few hours to melt the glue. If that's not enough, use a hairdryer. Just peel it off with a credit card.
