Is it an 8v or 16v? I've got an '86 Gti right now. The older the better, like a fine wine or cheese.
i will have to agree to that my friend....the newer they are, the slackier they become....
No offence to owners of later models , just personal oppinion
i really bow before the R32, but for some of us it is only something that we will drive only in our dreams....
'89 Gti 16v
new golfs are just shopping trollies you want a real car get a old one, pacey and a hell of a lot more character, new golfs are showing their age, I.E. 30th anniversary and losing all their nice angular lines and podging out like a old man

good choice of car mate i got a 1.8 16 valver DOHC
its as rapid as fap
In the least bit Bunta, they'll look better than the past two generations. I'd hope the performance would take a leap to that of an EVO or STi and still cost the same. Too bad that'll never happen. Remember that HPA R32? Faster than a Lambo, or most Ferrari, and even keeping up with a McLaren all for only $60K.
