Question Heads up display?

What years did Pontiac offer the Heads up display in the Grand Prix? Has it been discontinued? My daughters 2001 has it ,she's looking for a newer model that has it. Thanks for your reply's

Re: Heads up display?

Are you referring to the GEN III Grand Prix GT/GTP which is model years '97- '03 and/or the GEN IV '04 and up?

For GEN III, the HUD was available up to 2003 when it became an option on the GTP and GT models but available nonetheless.

Re: Heads up display?

I think you answered my question. Gen III till 03 and GenIV from 04 till present . I take it still an option on new GP's? By the way her car is still running good (no missfire) ,just an occasional check engine light but it clears itself .There is no indication of any problem. She likes her GP and would like a newer one that must have the HUD . Thanks for your answer.

Oh yeah, I recall. Glad to hear it is hanging in there.

As far as the 2006 model year for GEN IV Grand Prixs, the hud is no longer available on the Sedan and GT models. It is standard on the new GXP model. On 2004 and 2005 it varied. Maybe it was optional on GT/GTP but I believe standard on the Comp G version of the GTP.
