Overhead console switch bulb replacementChristophe Salvain 07-27-2006, 09:34 AM HI Two bulbs of the overhead console switches went out. Do you know how to replace them and what kind of bulb fit in ? Thx Christophe. JJ Newel 07-31-2006, 08:09 PM if both lights went out at the same time it's probably the fuse. SimGeek 08-01-2006, 10:11 PM If this is the basic overhead console with just the two map lights and a cubby, it just pops out of the headliner if I recall correctly - I had to replace mine a couple years ago. I don't recall the bulb number, but you can look it up at any auto parts store. SimGeek 08-04-2006, 06:42 PM OK, after looking at the van I guess I wasn't quite right, so just in case... The switch panel (2 map lights and 3 or 4 switches) pops out of the overhead console; I don't know how the entire overhead console comes out, but you only need to remove the switch panel to replace the lights. They are replaceable but the problem arises as to WHO SELLS THEM. They just twist out but you have to disassemble the switch pod in it self and if your not carefull, the metal contacts fall out but are easily put back in place. I tried 12v LED's but little success and also found that the metal contact for the electric slider was bent on mine, which would make it easy for arcing to cause the door to open by itself. I think I am going to just replace the whole button assembly. Goodluck. Christophe Salvain 12-29-2006, 08:41 PM EVERYONE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE QUESTION AT HAND.
